Lindsey Jacob (b. 1983) is a composer and saxophonist whose musical output is an eclectic blend of elements from many traditions, including minimalism, experimentalism, improvisation, American folk music, popular music, and texture/timbre-based music. Her works often juxtapose stylistically different musical material and address the act of communication, using the voice and body to convey ideas through vocalizations, dramatic gestures, and organic rhythms.
