Cincinnati Soundbox Concert
My work, Sit Still for mezzo-soprano, vibraphone, and double bass, will be premiered by Lauren McAllister, Jacob Dike, and Kate Alexandra for the Cincinnati Soundbox Concert Series 7p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the 21c Museum Hotel in Cincinnati, OH. The suggested donation is $10 per ticket. For this song, I used text written by Nichole O. Nichols from her Fast Girls Wear Loud Colors. I have set Nichole’s work for a previous project and absolutely love working with her. I am looking forward to hearing it and working with the musicians.
